Keith Serry – Founder & Co-Director
Keith is a father, husband, lawyer, communicator and social entrepreneur. Since co-founding CJAM in his living room in 2008, Keith has directed most facets of the organization’s daily operation. He thinks CJAM’s volunteers are some of the most inspiring and intelligent people he has had the pleasure to work with.
Olivier Plessis – Co-Director
Olivier is a graduate of McGill Law, where he was involved with the Centre for Intellectual Property Policy and was a participant in a McGill inter-disciplinary program aimed at reforming the music industry business model. He has also previously presented at the Conference Board of Canada on the topic of copyright policy and co-authored a report on the IP policies of non-profit research institutes. In addition to his work on the CJAM board of directors, Olivier is a lawyer in private practice and has also represented the Bridge Theatre Company in New York on a pro bono basis.
Joseph Nammour – Finance Coordinator
Guillaume Lavoie – Infonight Coordinator
Guillaume is a McGill graduate (BCom Finance ’09; Law ’13). Born and raised in Montreal, he has been following the city’s art scene since his teenage years. Guillaume started volunteering at CJAM after his first year in law school, has been managing the CJAM Legal Info Nights since January 2011, and became a member of the Board of Directors in the spring of 2012. He is also currently working at a Montreal law firm specialized in intellectual property matters.
Emilie Christiansen – Workshop Coordinator & Corporate Secretary
Emilie has been a volunteer with CJAM since 2009. She previously worked in a post-production studio for many years before switching up for a career in law. She is passionate about providing education on the basics of law through a variety of useful workshops for Montreal’s artists.
Julien Verneau – Workshop Coordinator
Julien is a graduate of McGill Law. He is an avid music lover and joined CJAM in 2012 to support the local artist community, acting as Workshop Coordinator since March 2013. Originally from France, Julien moved to Canada where he completed a graduate degree in engineering at the University of Waterloo prior to law school.
Celina Toia – Factsheet Coordinator
Celina obtained her law degree at the University of Quebec in Montreal in 2015. Although she has been a legal researcher for numerous pro bono and human rights projects (such as Project Genesis, Aids Community Center, Clinique juridique UQAM) throughout her legal studies. Celina became especially interested in the arts after studying abroad in Nice, France. Celina started volunteering for CJAM in the summer of 2013 as a participant in the Legal Info Nights sessions and became Fact Sheet Coordinator that same year. She values CJAM’s objective to make justice more accessible to the public.

Jean-François Ouellette – Webmaster
Passionate about the digital age and artistic creation, Jean-François Ouellette has volunteered for CJAM for the past few years as a legal clinic volunteer and a webmaster. His passion for intellectual property led him to the World Intellectual Property Organization. Jean-François Ouellette is a law (LL.B.) and e-commerce (M.Sc) graduate from Université de Montréal et HEC Montréal.
